The 930 is the machine we built Damstrong on. It's a 13,000-plus-pound articulated loader with a Cummins 2.8 diesel, a power-shift planetary transmission and a cab with heat, A/C and push-button forward/reverse. What it doesn't have is a pile of computers waiting to go bad. We built them that way on purpose. The usual small stuff wears out, like wipers. Everything else is overbuilt and kept simple, so you're working instead of waiting on a dealer laptop.

The Cummins QSF2.8 is EPA Tier 4 Final with no DEF, no urea tank and no emissions derate. Service runs on standard Fleetguard and Donaldson filters you can get at NAPA, Cummins or from us. We stock 80 to 90% of the parts for these machines in Seymour, CT. If you need something we don't have on the shelf, we'll give you a crossover number or drop-ship it to you. You're not waiting on China.

There are three ways to buy a 930. The SD is the straight work machine. The SD+ adds a road gear and auto-lube. The HD Arctic is the snow machine: bigger 24 inch tires, extra counterweight, more lift and a diesel-fired coolant heater. Every one comes with a bucket and a set of pallet forks.

SD vs SD+: the SD+ is the same machine with a road gear, so you get about 22 mph between jobs instead of 17. It also has auto-lube, so you're not hand-greasing every morning. For $5,000 more, that's the sweet spot for most contractors.

SD+ vs HD Arctic: the HD is built for snow and cold. It has taller 24 inch tires and more counterweight, which lifts 1,000 lb more (6,000 vs 5,000). The diesel-fired coolant heater warms the engine and cab without an extension cord, and dual aux runs bigger attachments. If it's pushing snow all winter, buy the HD.

FAQs

Why Damstrong? Why are these better than all the other big yellow machines?

They're simpler. They have Cummins power, no computers, standard filters and parts on the shelf in Connecticut. You get the work of a $150,000 machine at about half the price, and you don't need a dealer's laptop to keep it running.

Any issues or problems with them over the years?

The usual small stuff, like wipers, and operator error. Everything else is overbuilt and simple, on purpose.

Is there DEF?

No. The QSF2.8 meets Tier 4 Final without DEF or a urea tank.

How fast do they go on the road?

The SD+ does about 22 mph with the road gear and the HD about 23. The base SD does 17.

What's the difference between the SD and the HD?

The HD has taller tires, more counterweight, 1,000 lb more lift and the diesel coolant heater. See the table above.

Do they have heat and A/C?

Yes, every cab has heat and A/C.

Can I use my skid-steer attachments or pusher box?

Yes, with the skid-steer quick-attach adapter ($900). On these machines we recommend a pusher no wider than 14 ft, because heavy wet snow eats pushing power.

How big a pusher can it run?

We recommend 14 ft max.

Do you deliver? What about Delaware, Colorado, Alaska?

Yes, we ship nationwide, and freight is quoted to your zip. On orders of 2 or more HDs we give a $2,000-per-machine freight allowance.

Can I finance?

Yes. Apply through the finance link. Many applications are auto-approved.

Can I come see one?

Yes. Come to 14 Beach St, Seymour, CT 06483, or call Matt at 203-872-7217.
